CHILREN OF LOVE, missionaries of Jesus of the Easter splendour, is an international Catholic organization founded in 1995, by Raphael-Mary Nnamdi Oraegbu, with administrative headquarters in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.

Its aims are to promote compassion, love and peace in the world; pursuing divine glorification and holiness and evangelization, through the joyous celebration of the Sacrificed Love of God, Jesus Christ, the Brightest Light of all heaven and earth.

This is the mission of divine grace that it has received, as it has been called to serve Christ, in serving his Church for the good of all mankind. And it embodies, teaching hearts and blessing souls, everywhere, out of the compassion, love and peace that it has been granted by God, and as, all good things come from God - His marvelous gifts which He has bestowed, on account of the merits of Christ suffering, death and resurrection.

Such is the vision of the holy work of Christ, the Eternal King of Glory, that its members – called, chosen and sent – partake in, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother.

The members are, also, from pursuing the joys of Jesus of the Easter splendour, described as Easter people, and Easter splendour devotees. For by their consecration and whole-hearted acceptance of the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ, they partake, through the work that they do, in contemplating the crucified Christ and beholding the Easter splendour of everlasting love in the Divine Most High.

They are drawn, as by their calling to serve God and mankind, from all the fabrics of the Church. And upon that, they must do all that they are called to do, with the great zeal of their hearts and souls, burning with true love of good leaders.

And so, too, being good leaders, as children of Light, who are, first, considered to be slaves of love, they are spiritually seen as a “storytellers”, like light bearers. For they celebrate the Holy Story of God, whom they call Love Divine, as they worship Him, adore Him, and glorify His holy name, with fervent joy of deep devotion, borne out of sweet intimate relationship with the God of Love. Thus, revealing, by grace, what they truly are, as sons of God, having been brought forth, through the life of single-minded commitment and dedication pursue the consistency of Christ, in the image of the suffering servant.

Now, they follow the example of Christ, the Storyteller King par excellence, in bringing others to God. And which, embraces all our sweet, sacred celebration of love, the greatest of all the gifts of God.

Verily, verily, as children of fairest Love, they tell their stories with their own lives, infused with the living Word of God, that are spirit and as they are life. Just so, they are new creatures, having new life, in Christ Jesus. And as, being the holy life that they live in God, by their witnessing for Christ – suffering and dying, with Christ, as servants of His peace. So as, to be raised up by Christ on the Last Day, in the victory, joy and peace of His holy resurrection.

SPIRITUALITY:
In union with Mother Mary, in the service of Christ teaching all hearts; centred around, weekly prayer meetings and evangelisation work, for the greater glory of God.

CHARISM:
For the greater glory of God, promoting compassion, love and peace in the world, through the joyous celebration of the Holy Story, pursued as the life we live in God of Love, in reaching out to the poor and needy in society.

MOTTO: Christ is Compassion, Christ is Love, Christ is Peace.

MEMBERSHIP:
Members must be practicing Roman Catholic, who in accepting the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ, become friends of the Holy Story, making known the glorious splendour of Love’s reign
